Web Design

Contest Coordinator: Sammy Harper

The Web Design & Development competition will focus on how students are able to put what they’ve learned in class towards a real-world design problem. In the competition, students will be expected to know how to create a basic website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students will also be expected to be familiar with web design and development terminology, best practices, and accessibility standards. Websites created will be expected to work offline on a variety of devices and modern browsers. After receiving contest instructions, students will be given time to build their websites in accordance to progress checkpoints (an allotted amount of time given to each portion of the website). The competition will end with website presentations given by each pair.
