2026 Fall Leadership & District Conference (FLDC)

This one-day conference is for middle school and high school students
to participate in leadership activities, chapter training, and career awareness.

Fall Leadership Conferences are in the first year of a transition to becoming Fall Leadership & District Conferences (FLDC). This will be a merger of the traditional Fall Leadership Conference and Contest (eventually). This year, instead of a contest, there will be required competition-preparation sessions for the contests listed below. These sessions will take the contestants through the Technical Standards, discuss the importance of partnering with local businesses for mentorship, building a practice schedule and setting milestones of preparedness, and if possible hands on practice. 

Attendance is open to any Nebraska high school student and teacher. There will be SkillsUSA breakout sessions (possible campus tours). For those members who would like to participate at SLSC in one of the following contests must attend the competition sessions at SCC, NECC, CCC, or participate in the contest at MCC M.O.T.I.

• Automotive Service Technology
• Automotive Maintenance & Light Repair
• Crime Scene Investigation
• Early Childhood Education
• Welding contests may be combined into a single session.
  • Welding
  • Welding Fabrication
  • Welding Sculpture (design notebook/sketches should be brought to the session)

Anyone who may potentially compete in one of these contests should sign up for the aligned session.

Registration is $30 per student
Advisors are free unless you want a t-shirt ($10)

To attend any of our conferences, participants must have a signed Personal Liability & Medical Release Form, Code of Conduct, and Photography and Sound Release This document will be kept by the advisor during the conference.
