To attend any of our conferences, participants must have a signed Personal Liability & Medical Release Form, Code of Conduct, and Photography and Sound Release (this is on form that the advisor will keep with their records)

Fall Leadership Conferences
This one-day conference is for middle school and high school students to participate in leadership activities, chapter training, and career awareness. $30/registration fee for students (includes lunch and t-shirt). Advisors’ registration is complementary, but they may purchase a t-shirt for $10.

Mid-America Leadership Conference (MAC)
DoubleTree Downtown, Omaha NE
Mid-America Conference (MAC) is a fast-paced, hands-on training where local chapter officers and advisors learn how to build and lead a thriving SkillsUSA chapter. Over three and a half days, participants are divided into groups and work through a full year of the SkillsUSA Program of Work—learning the Framework, Creed, history, and parliamentary procedure along the way.
MAC, originally the Region IV – VICA Leadership Conference, has been in existence since 1977 and originated in Kearney, Nebraska. It has been hosted by Columbus and the New World Inn River’s Edge Conference Center for over 45 years. In October 2026, MAC enters a new chapter as it moves to the DoubleTree in downtown Omaha.

The philosophy of the Championships is to reward students for excellence, to involve industry in directly evaluating student performance and to keep training relevant to employers’ needs. More than 3000 people – including students, teachers and business partners – are expected to participate in the two- and one-half-day event.
