Computer Programming

Contest Coordinator: Joe Gray

The Contestants will be provided with a series of project requirements that a program they write will be required to meet. That program is to be written during the allotted competition timeframe using a computer contestants provide and physical references or manuals either provided by the contestant or the contest coordinator – no online materials will be permitted. A contestant will have a fixed number of attempts to have their program validated before submission to judges. Aside from meeting requirements, a Contestant’s program will be evaluated for other criteria such as completeness, correctness of output, validation of input, internal documentation, efficiency of code, and quality of work. The following are approved programming languages for this year’s competition: Java, C++, Visual Basic, RPG, C#, Python, and Javascript.
