This competition is designed for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors developing their woodworking skills. Students will create a woodworking project and complete an engineer’s notebook before attending the state competition.

It has come to our attention that there is an error in the blueprints for the Intro to Woods contest. The dimensions for the tray holder placement are incorrect. We have corrected the error and updated the blueprints on the website.
We understand that students may be at different stages of the project. Some may be able to address the issue before encountering it, while others may need to adjust their work afterward. We recommend that instructors and students make any necessary corrections to resolve the error.
Please note that we have informed the judges of this issue. When assessing this portion of the contest, students will not be penalized for discrepancies related to this error, as solutions may vary depending on the stage of the project.
