Max Yarnell


Hello, SkillsUSA Nebraska! My name is Max Yarnell and I am senior from Louisville High School. This will be my fourth year as a member of SkillsUSA. This year I will be serving as your State President. I serve as a chapter officer for my local chapter and other than SkillsUSA I am involved with speech, trap shooting, and play production. Outside of School you will find me shooting trap, hanging out with friends, and throwing around a baseball. When I graduate, I plan to attend a four-year college to become an Industrial Tech teacher. This year I would like to help with getting SkillsUSA recognized more on social media to help get SkillsUSA the recognition it deserves. I hope to get to know all of you on a personal level this year and grow through SkillsUSA.


Cordell Vrbka

Vice President

Hello SkillsUSA Nebraska! My name is Cordell Vrbka and I am currently a senior at Seward High School. This year I will be serving as your State Vice President. Outside of SkillsUSA I am involved in speech, one acts, musical, cross country, and baseball. I also highly enjoy animals, puns, and Skittles. After high school I want to study to become a wildlife veterinarian. As a state officer I would love to improve communication between our state and local chapters. I cannot think of any higher honor than serving as one of your state officers and I am excited to see what this year will hold!


Rebecca Ady


Hey y’all my name is Rebecca Ady and I’m currently a senior at North Platte High School. This year I am serving as your State Secretary and am a local officer in my chapter. I am also involved in cross country, marching band, track and am on the Superintendent Student Advisory Board. In my free time I enjoy crocheting and reading.  I am excited to be your state officer and help our organization grow! As a state officer I will work to help improve member involvement in our chapters.


Thomas Harling


Hello SkillsUSA Nebraska! My name is Thomas Harling and it is my honor to serve as your Parliamentarian for the 2019-2020 school year. I am a senior at Hastings High School where I am involved in many things such as football, track, DECA, and MentoringWorks. Outside of school you will find me doing all sorts of different projects, working, hanging out with friends, or shooting trap. After high school, I plan on attending Central Community College in Hastings for Advanced Manufacturing Design Technology (AMDT). SkillsUSA plays a huge role in my life and it has given me the opportunity to prepare for my future job as well as meet so many amazing people. I can not wait to meet all of you while serving as your state Parliamentarian!


Gillian Mettenbrink


Hello SkillsUSA Nebraska! My name is Gillian Mettenbrink and I’m excited to be serving as your 2019-2020 State Historian! As a senior at Seward High School, I actively participate in our local SkillsUSA chapter along with show choir, softball, soccer, and musical. After high school, I plan to attend a four-year college to study music’s role in medicine, but in the meantime, I look forward to getting to know you all throughout the year. SkillsUSA has been a major part of my life, and I can’t wait to grow with all of the wonderful members that make this organization so special!


Kainin Wilson


Hello SkillsUSA! My name is Kainin Wilson from North Platte, NE. I am the Nebraska State Treasurer for 2019-20. Along with being a state officer I run Cross Country, help coach wrestling, and also am an officer in my local chapter. When I am not at school, SkillUSA events, or with my friends, you can find me sitting at my desk playing some videogames or reading in some weird place around the house. I plan on going to Colorado University-Boulder for my aeronautic engineering degree. I hope this year we can get great communication and interaction between chapters to really solidify all of our chapters.


Rhiannon Painter


Hey SkillsUSA Nebraska! My name is Rhiannon Painter and I’m currently a junior at Thedford High School. This will be my 5th year as a proud member of SkillsUSA and I will be serving as your 2019-2020 State Reporter. Along with SkillsUSA, I’m also involved with FFA, FCCLA, Speech, One-Act, Rodeo Club, Choir, and Quiz Bowl. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, hunting, rodeoing, and spending time with my friends and family. As your State Reporter, I plan to expand the knowledge of SkillsUSA and inspire more people to undertake this fantastic opportunity. I’m immensely excited to serve you all to the best of my abilities, and I hope to connect with all of the you throughout the year!


Chandler Cannon

Hello y’all! My name is Chandler Cannon, I am your college/technical Vice President! This is my 4th year in SkillsUSA and my second year as an officer. I am a student at Metropolitan Community College enrolled in the plumbing and firefighting/EMT programs. I graduated from Gretna High School in 2016, this is where I fell in love with SkillsUSA. I work for my family’s plumbing company and am a baseball coach in Gretna. This year as your C/T Vice President I would like to get more college students involved and get some new colleges chapters! Thank you for giving me the chance to be your College/Technical Vice President once again!
