The plumbing skill test can be assembled at the team location and will be taken to the plumbing area for skill testing.  Please bring all tools required for cutting and soldering copper pipe to build the small plumbing stack plan attached.

The masonry skill test will be a small corner cut of block and brick that can be completed at the team location and will be scored by the TeamWorks judges.

Along with all materials including framing lumber, trusses, siding, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and masonry we will also be providing framing nails, siding nails, roof nails, and screws for the floor sheathing.

Your teams will be required to supply all tools required for assembly.  Powered circular saws are allowed but no miter saws or pneumatic tools.

Although the plans show it, teams will not be setting a door, they will only be required to frame it in and wrap the RO with siding trim.

Orientation will be Thursday April 11th at 6:30pm.  We will allow your teams to begin cutting Thursday evening following orientation until 8:30pm.  Please feel free to take this time to cut and prep but no assembly will be allowed until Friday.   During this time we will be pulling each team aside for their Team Presentation.  Your presentation should include the introduction of your team, team qualifications, and your plan of attack on the project.  Please see the guidelines below for the presentation.

  • Each team has 5-7 minutes to present
  • Electronic presentations are not allowed, such as PowerPoint
  • Each team member is expected to speak
  • Following the presentations there will be Q&A for 3-5 minutes

We will start the competition Friday April 12th at 8:00am with a quick 5 – 10 minute in person safety meeting and will then turn your teams loose!

There will be a panel of 6 judges who will be scoring each team based on the following:

  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Carpentry
  • Masonry
  • Order Efficiency
  • Team Presentation
  • Clean site
  • Extent of Completion
